Tulsa World Cover Story: Residents map ideas
A second citywide workshop draws another 500 people.
PlaniTulsa's second citywide workshop on Tulsa's comprehensive plan update was very similar to the first. And profoundly different. Every slot was full at Monday's gathering at the Greenwood Cultural Center. The same goes for Tuesday's event at the BOK Center. Monday's event drew from all age groups and all parts of town. So did Tuesday's.
And on both Monday and Tuesday, participants were excited to be a part of deciding Tulsa's future. The profound difference, of course, was that the 500 people who made their way to the floor of the BOK Center on Tuesday were not the same 500 people who packed the Greenwood Cultural Center on Monday.
Another 500 participants, another 500 visions of the future.
